It is definitely worth it , if you can afford it! Taking on huge loans at undergraduate level is not really advisable , as you can manage to get an excellent education in state universities and then move on to an Ivy League at Masters level! A very good example is UT Austin, which is excellent but the fees is a much less, probably a quarter , of what you would spend at an Ivy League! Thus you have to see what is the best fit for you, as a student!
